Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994 when she released her debut album Age isn't just the number. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which featured the hit number one single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah's sophomore album entitled One in a Million was released in 1996. It contained the number-one hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she appeared alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die spotted her during an awards event. In 2002 she got to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was based on The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee as her character. She is from Indian heritage and was born Connecticut. The stage name Mann originates from her husband's name Mankad. Aarti is a combination of Aarti Majumdar and Aarti Munn as her professional names. Though she initially had tiny film and television roles, her acting started growing in popularity around the turn of the century. Other notable works she has done are Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. In addition, she has appeared in advertisements for major brands such as international automobile manufacturer Volvo. The actress currently resides at Los Angeles along with her wife, son and daughter. She also pursues her acting profession.
