Aaliyah Haughton was famous in 1994 when she released her debut album Age isn't just the number. Aaliyah Dana Haughton was just 15 when the album became Gold. R. Kelly heavily influenced the collaboration and brought the singer up to the top of the charts. In 1996, she collaborated with Jermaine Dupri as well as Timbaland for her second album One In A Million which featured the hit number one single If Your Girl Could Only Know. Aaliyah's sophomore album entitled One in a Million was released in 1996. It contained the number-one hit single"If You Girl Only Knew. In 2000, she appeared alongside the martial arts icon Jet Li in Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of Romeo Must Die spotted her during an awards event. In 2002 she got to play the horror film Queen of the Damned which was based on The Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels followed, which featured Zee as her character. In 1999, 2001 2002, 2003 and 1999 she was nominated for four Grammy Awards.
