The actress is currently starring as Amantha Holden in Rectify, a Sundance Channel show, a drama called Rectify. Abigail Leigh Spencer is an American actor who is active in TV as well as films. Her appearances in the drama show Rectify as well as the sci-fi series Timeless earned her the title of a celebrity. Her debut as an actor was All My Children, a soap opera based out of Gulf Breeze Florida. The actress was awarded the Soap Opera Digest Award for the most outstanding female newcomer. Through the years she mostly played guest roles on a variety of TV shows. They praised her for her role of the character Dr. Erin Jameson in the drama series Hawthorne. Because of her incredible looks and acting skills, she slowly gained large fan following. Her film debut came in twenty-something, in an important role in the movie Campfire Stones. The actress has also been featured in Jekyll This Means War, Chasing Mavericks and other films. Her role of the lead character Beautiful Now earned her a nomination at the Madrid International Film Festival Award. On the television show Timeless, she played the character of Lucy Preston, a history professor. The show has been highly praised by critics and Spencer's performance has landed her a nomination in the Teen Choice Award.
